Wes Stone

Bio

Coach Stone serves as the Head Football Coach and Business Marketing teacher. He is a 1995 graduate of South Pittsburg High School where he was a starting offensive lineman on the 1994 state championship team. He was an assistant on the coaching staff of the 2007 & 2010 state championship teams, as well as the state runner up teams in 2009, 2011, 2013, & 2020. He received his Bachelors Degree in Education in 2001 from UTC, Masters Degree from Cumberland University, and Ed.S in Administration & Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. Coach Stone and his wife Glenna have four sons, Jake (30), (wife-Katie, & granddaughters-Kollins & Ellison), Jared (22), Jace (18) and Jackson (13). He enters his 5th season as the head coach at his alma mater. Coach Stone has lead the team to the 2021 and 2023 State Championship and a 2024 State Runner Up finish since taking over the program. This will be Coach Stone’s 29th season overall coaching with 26 of those coming at South Pittsburg as both a middle school and high school coach.
